What is a rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure designed to place your nose in harmony with the rest of your face. This may entail altering the shape, size, or general appearance of your nose.

Rhinoplasty is a versatile procedure; your doctor will be able to reduce size and width of the nose, narrow the nostrils, increase or decrease the nasal bridge, alter the shape of the tip of the nose, or improve the angle between the nose and upper lip.

One useful tool for the visualization of your rhinoplasty results is computer imaging. Using computer imaging, your doctor will be able to demonstrate what your nose might look like, before you decide on what changes you would like to have. This way, you will be able to both better understand and better communicate to your doctor the exact result you are aiming to have for your nose.
