Eyelid Surgery

Cosmetic Blepharoplasty, also referred to as ‘cosmetic eyelid surgery,’ is a cosmetic procedure that is used to treat any sagging, puffy or loose skin of the eyelids. The procedure is an extremely effective and minimally invasive way to easily improve the appearance of most men and women.

The skin surrounding our eyes is some of the thinnest on our body, and more vulnerable to the effects of aging. As this skin relaxes, it can create the appearance of droopy or puffy eyelids, and bags under the eye. These effects basically make you look worn-out, older, and more tired then you really are. Blepharoplasy is used to treat these conditions by removing the excess skin and fat cells on the upper and lower eyelids. It is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic procedures in the world, with the recipients enjoying a rejuvenated, and rested appearance.

Good candidates for the procedure are healthy men and women who have equally healthy facial muscles and skin, do not smoke, and have no pre-existing conditions that would impair their outcome or healing.

Eyelid Surgery

The procedure

Eyelid surgery is most often performed under local anesthesia, on an outpatient basis. To perform the procedure, the surgeon will make tiny incisions along the natural creases of your eyelids, so the scars remain invisible after healing. They will then remove the excess skin and fat cells, and then seal the incision with small sutures. The overall process is extremely simple and only takes about an hour.

Recovery only takes days, and results are almost immediately apparent.

Your eyes are the main focal point for anyone who engages you. They are also one of the first areas to show the signs of aging. Brow Lift

A brow lift, or forehead lift, is a procedure that reduces lines and wrinkles in the forehead, removing the visible signs of aging and stress. Patients seeking brow lifts usually have sagging brows and forehead skin. Deep furrows that run horizontally across the brow are usually a major area of concern. Additionally, the sagging forehead skin can cause the patients eyes to appear tired and upper eyelids to look heavy.

Ideally, a female brow should be slightly above the bony rim of the upper eye, and a male brow should be at the level of the bony rim. A brow lift repositions the brow to that ideal and more youthful position, giving it a beautiful arced look.

The procedure

Brow lifts consist of adjustment of the select facial muscles responsible for the drop in brow position.
