Breast Lift Options

Some women are born blessed with breast tissue however over time these same women will probably admit that as wonderful as it was to have breast tissue in their younger years, time and getting older is not as forgiving. Women with breast tissue also tend to have something known as “ptosis" or droopiness due to gravity, heredity, severe weight gain or loss, or child birth and breastfeeding. Both Dr. Broadway and Dr. John Millard at bod:evolve perform various types of breast lift surgeries to help women return to a more desired shape and breast position.

A full breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure which reverses the effects of gravity by raising and tightening sagging breasts. This procedure allows your bod:evolve surgeon to remove excess skin and tissue, and allows for a precise position of your breasts. The full mastopexy, which includes a lollipop incision, will give women the best result by removing excess skin and reshaping breast tissue, however it does leave a vertical incision from the lower portion of the nipple to the breast fold. This incision is permanent however will become less noticeable over time. A breast lift can be performed in conjunction with a breast augmentation, for fuller, younger looking breasts.

Dr. Broadway and Dr. Millard are the only surgeons offering the VASER® Breast lift, which is great for women who have some ptosis (droopiness) but don’t need a full mastopexy. By utilizing VASER® technology during the procedure, the bod:evolve surgeons can contract your breast tissue providing more of a lift than with a breast implant alone. Breast Reduction

Some women may feel that they have overly large breasts, which may cause various medical problems and make everyday activities more difficult. Besides the issue of self-consciousness, overly large breasts can cause problems with posture, cause neck or back pain, and create a host of other everyday irritations that negatively impact one's quality of life. For such a situation, breast reduction, or reduction mammaplasty, is recommended. A breast reduction is a surgical procedure which removes excess fat, skin, and glandular tissue in order to bring the breasts into proportion with the rest of the body. Both bod:evolve physicians perform breast reduction procedures and you will be able to view before and after photos at your initial consultation.
